A Rough Come Back

Today I decided to get back into Sim Racing. Not that I wasn't planning on it or anything just things have been hectic and I haven't been able to race lately. And to my surprise its not a very smooth transition from inactive to fully active. When coming back into the race you feel like it should all come back to you but it doesn't... You still no the braking lines and the turn in points but your just missing something... I think its the familiarity to each car. For example I jump into the Caterham and I enter the corner downshift smoothly turn in perfectly and but then I must relearn the car and where I can begin accelerating again. I jump into my favorite car the FO8 and I am concentrating on throttle control more then any thing else where that used to be second nature to me, Its very hard to explain... I can turn a decent lap but I don't feel comfortable or familular with the car. It is almost as if all my experience with each car has been lost due to lack of racing. "If you don't do it, you don't have it" It just proves that you cant just expect to pick up where you left off. You don't lose everything, your just a few seconds slower until you rebuild your relationship with the car. Its not a loss of skill or talent just a missed step, like a skipped beat. Do I feel like I can race in a herd of 21 right now...yes But at the moment Im not completely comfortable with the car never mind other racers... Anyways I will continue to race and soon enough I shall be turning great laps. The construction guys are still working on my house so I'm not back fully just yet, but I do plan on racing daily even if its not many laps. I may have to stick close to desktop though... Because Knights kinda stuck there at the moment. The LIL intro is taking amazingly long to render which is our main set back because that is using knights computer 24/7. We expect the rendering to be done on Monday but don't give your hopes up. Oh and Knight seems to want to get this podcast started soon so we can wrap up the 06 Formula 1 season. Which I am fine with but I dont really want to to rush into this and then have the second episode come out months later. I want everything to be set up and we can go forward with it not start it and take a break while waiting to find another host. So if you are racing fan and would enjoy being our third host please contact me because we would like to debut with the same members as we plan on having year round. In other news Pontiac is set to become the first major automaker to establish a presence in Second Life. Which isn't a surprise because there is money to be had in that little virtual world... Lets just hope it doesn't get crowded with ads and company's. I personally think that Second Life is way over rated... I played it.... Its not for everyone but I can see how one could enjoy the game. But the game has its problems and can't see more companies bombarding Second Life until the bugs and glitches are worked out. Other then that we have Hyundai wanting to get into Formula One... And I am not surprised but budget isn't everything but it sure doesn't hurt. I can't think of one person I know that would even consider cheering for a hyundai f1 car... Once again thanks for reading, but if you are still reading this on anorexicpillow.blogspot.com please rebookmark this as http://www.anorexicpillow.com there I have my huge gallery and my soon to come podcasts. The End Of An Era

Michael Shumacher is now done racing in formula one! It's a shame that he didn't place better in this race but from his flat tire early in the race it shows that he still has it :) From dead last and almost a lap down he kept fighting all the way and ended in 4th, He was right on Fisichella but then he seemed to have slowed down drastically in a corner. But soon Fisichella over shot the corner and ran threw the grass allowing shumacher to pass. Another good pass for Michael was when he passed kimi, kimi blocking him and almost touching eachother desperately trying to hold on to 4th. But more importantly Jenson Button came in 3rd from 14th on the grid! It was a great race for him although he pitted rather early and a felt that that took him out but they timed it well and made it back :) He qualified very poorly but just like in Hungary he came from the back and took podium! I wish Honda had a little more camera time threw this race though. Podium for Honda and that puts Honda in 4th for the constructors championship. So the standings are Alonso with the World Championship and Renault with the Constructors Championship. But lets not forget about fellipe massa with his second win, I think he went a little far with the terrible looking racing suit and waving the flag after the race but hey... What can you do... Although the fia could disqualify him for that because I believe that is against the rules. The race was a lot of fun to watch although the director wasn't that great.... Lots of retirements in this race race though. Toyota sadly dropped out of the race after a technical Failure, and the Williams collided with eachother in turn one which broke wings and such. Other then that we had heidfeld which seemed to have lost the rear suspension coming into turn 1. After the race Speed TV did a special broadcast of the memories of 06 and Michael shumachers epic career which I'm sure will be on a torrent site near you for those who don't have speed tv. The coverage was a very touching wrap up of this pass season and the battle between champions. They will also be having the F1 Commentating crew (Hobbs, Varsha, Matchett) on the speed report tonight for the wrap up of the F1 season. And.... That's the fire alarm.... Again ffs this is the 4th time that thing has went off since I've moved here. This is to be continued....And im back, what bs. Everytime its been a false alarm :( Anyways I think thats all for formula one news. In LFS Indy news we have yet another delay The Rendering is taking longer then expected but once that is done (hopfully midweek) we shall put the camera shots together and do the commentary. Soon enough... soon enough. Other then that i have been trying to catching up with my podcasts and still can't wait till i start my own :) Once again if you are interested in being a host of an open wheel podcast please contact me and we can arrange a date :) I believe that is all for today, not a whole lot happening. Thank you for reading, but if your still reading this on anorexicpillow.blogspot.com please rebookmark it as http://www.anorexicpillow.com There I have my huge gallery and podcasts are soon to come. Smooth Transition

How does one make a smooth change from Blog to full functioning website? I was a little tired of the look of the site and decided I wanted more... With the LFS Indy League broadcast coming out soon I started thinking more and more about podcasting. As I mentioned before Erik has offered me a co-hosting spot on Tech4Now which i am yet to announce whether i will be doing it or not but it got me thinking. I have been listening to "NetCasts"(Leo Laportes Word) for close to 5 years now from Sean Kennedy to Shawn Summers, from Jimmy Diggs to Mike Lunsted, from the worst to the best I've listened to my fair share, As of today i listen to 35 podcasts some are daily, some are weekly and some are monthly. I had my attempt at making a podcast and it didn't go so well it was a decent concept but as Smokehouse said its not really a show for radio... And My mic was really shitty but since then I have bought a new one and think I'm ready to start making podcasts now :) I'm Thinking of an audio commentary of the LFS Indy broadcast for those who don't have the time to download Yannicks Massive file :P I would also like to do a Open Wheel Racing Podcast... All Open Wheel that means Formula 1, Indy Racing League, ChampCar, Mazda Star Series, A1GP, GP2, and what ever else speed will let us watch! Now the only Problem with this is that Knight doesn't have speed he has the major networks so he only catches the races and sometimes the qualifying. And even worse he only gets Formula 1 and Indy Car... Some times he gets champcar but that's not too often. So what are we to do? We could always get a 3rd host that gets all the races or it could be my segment completely but I don't like the idea of that "Alright and now to Justin for everything else going on in the Open wheel racing world" But that's not for atleast a month. So! I think that just about wraps today's post up, If you are still reading my blog posts here at anorexicpillow.blogspot.com please rebookmark my blog as www.anorexicpillow.com where i have a better look and feel to the blog along with my massive gallery which is updated daily and soon to come my podcasts. Thanks for reading :) Bye!

Teh Mighty Logo!

Welcome Free Talk Live Listeners :) Well to my surprise Ian found my blog post :P I admit the "fuck you Ian" is a little much and I am a steady listener and enjoy the show and don't dislike the show as much as I may have perceived in my last blog post. I just feel like there are a few things that could be changed about the show. I listen on a daily basis and am all about freedom and am not against Ian and Marks views but I am against the way they deliver it sometimes. I do understand the workings of a radio show, but atleast try to be a little personable Ian:) Btw I do recall Ian saying pettily little shows and that's... Not needed. I haven't been listening to the show for very long but I listen to the episodes as soon as they come out unless I am busy. I don't know about your different callers and their history with calling in to your show, I have heard the "Hello Free talkers" guys and think he is very funny but that's about as far as it goes as to recognizing your callers. Yes I have NO facts as to how much you get or dish out for marketing or promoting...But I heard you guys mention how many ampers you had and I did the math so I just found it odd how much you spend in a month and i see now that I was wrong and I wasn't saying all of this from an inner workings perspective I was saying to from the listeners point of view. I may not like how you deliver the show or how some of your views are but I still like your show a fair bit and continue to listen daily. Oh and I actually found Dan Carlin threw the same guy that pointed me to you guys and for that I thank him because Sean Kennedy isn't doing anything lately and Dan and your shows are very fun to listen to. Anyways I think that's all for the rebuttal I want to thank Ian for not making me look like a total dick but I was just speaking my mind from what I've heard over the last few months, and I know I'm not alone on my views. Um, I wasn't really planning on doing a post today because I didn't really have much to talk about.. The broadcast for the LFS Indy League should be available for download very soon and as soon as that is up so will the application form. But keep in mind we are going to keep this as professional as possible because we want a group of serious racers that will stick around for a few seasons, unlike the F1 League where only one racer showed up to all of the races. So please sign up but only if your willing to commit and as always you can catch all the screenshots from the race before they are up anywhere else in my gallery section under LFS Indy Shots :) Anyways... The next F1 race isn't for weeks but I'm sure ill find something to post about before then :) don't forget to check out that gallery which is updated just about daily :) Thank you for reading my blog, but this is not the correct place to be reading from. Please rebookmark my blog as www.anorexicpillow.com there i have many pictures in my gallery and is the main site:) Bye

Done Blowed Up!

:O um yah so that was... An amazing fucking race..... Umm just wow! The races in formula one lately have been simply amazing. So the grid for the race at Suzuka was Ferrari(massa), Ferrari, Toyota, Toyota, Renault, Renault, Honda, Honda, the other notables are... Kimi in 11th and Takuma Sato in 20th and Sakon Yamamoto in 22nd. hah once again i must remind you that my description of the race does it no justice at all so please check your favorite torrent site for the race because I just don't capture the excitement... But then again I don't try to walk you threw the whole race I just mention the major parts if you want a full walk threw of the race go here its pretty good :) Anyways it was a dry track so that was good and super aguri got a lot of camera time which i am happy about :) So Let's go threw the retirements of this race shall we :) Mark Webber ran wide on the last turn and hit the wall bad enough to well... Total his car, good old Webber :) Coultard broke his gear box sadly :( And oh yah Albers in the MF1 Spyker um... Had mechanical problems I'm not really sure what happened technically but his rear right tore apart from the rest of the car leaving tonnes of carbon fiber on the track and a half shaft :S Surprisingly no safety car was brought out, in fact not even a local yellow. Now... I haven't been watching Formula 1 for very long but come on if there is a half shaft in a chicane I think its best to do something about it... Finally some guy ran out there and grabbed it 3 or 4 laps later. And that's about it.. Oh and shumacher blew up :P he was leading, then he blew up and alonso gave him the finger as he drove by. And just to mention its been nearly a decade since Michaels engine blew up :O.. This is Surprising, 2nd last race of his career and his engine blows up. Also Scott speed had a steering problem but I believe he did finish. So the podium was Alonso, Massa, and Fisichella and Button was in 4th! Takuma Sato came in a solid 15 so congrats to him :) Definitely a race for the books :) So after this race the standings are Alonso with 126 and Shumacher with 116 and the constructors championship is Renault with 195 and ferrari with 186. My space bar isn't working so well today which is too bad :( In other news I've been offered to be a co-host of a podcast, it will be called Tech4Now and it will be about tech and gaming. I'm not sure... the guy (Erik) seemed to have... Picked me rather quickly with out even asking any questions. I think he asked if I was a gamer after the fact but just guessed that I was the right guy to do it :S Which is somewhat confusing to me because I don't really scream tech when you talk to me I uh don't think I have a vibe like that. But the fact of the matter is that yes I am in fact an uber nerd and I'm considering the co-host position :) Oh hah btw I got a new mic so its not going to be as shitty as my last podcast:P btw Christian if your interested in starting that show up again I am too :P Also I wouldn't mind starting a formula 1 podcast because... Formula pod is just so shitty there is so much to improve on. We will see :)In other news I have been taking a lot of screenshots and watching a fair bit of Beverly Hills, 90210 and that is about it. Oh one more thing On free talk live the other day someone emailed Ian about being a liar which I don't fully agree with but I do think he could improve on the show and the way he delivers it. She said that he sounded like a used car salesman saying everything is absolutely free on their website yet if you sign up for the amp program you get special perks. And... I've said it before the man seriously sounds like he is dishing out propaganda... If youu just listen he's so fucking excited that his site is free he can barely stand him self and points out about "other radio shows that charge for their pettily little shows" now um..Isn't that a little condescending Ian like come on? And second of all who the fuck are you talking about I have been listening to internet radio and podcasts for 4-5 years now and am yet to come across one that I had to pay for... Maybe it's because I don't listen to a lot of political podcasts but I still am yet to see one that charges. And the other thing that fucking pisses me off about the show is the way he talks so highly of the free state and acts as if... if you don't join the free state project you are just another one of the sheep and aren't making a difference "and the free state project is your ONLY chance for freedom and a less intrusive government" and just last night a guy called in all excited about his activism in Chicago or some place and Ians all being a dick saying that the free state is better and should be the place that everyone comes to do protests and shit and urg just pisses me off. And last thing I dislike/hate about free talk live is how they rush the callers so much some days they have full phone lines others 1 or 2 calls a night but come on they rush them so much "Hello Ian and mark how are you guys" "What did you want to talk about Dave!" and the other thing is that Ian doesn't let people speak he takes their question/idea and makes it his own and turns them down(volume wise) so they can't speak over him. I like his show but he's an asshole and that's all there is about it. Like a few shows ago this guy phoned in and he was fucking pissed off, he was all "hello Ian i want to talk! This is free talk live so let me talk last time you rushed me and turned me down i want a chance to get my point out and your not allowing me" and even then Ian turned him down when the guy and started up his own rant! Anyways fuck you Ian listen to Papa Joe or Leo laporte not once have I heard them rush their callers like that sure the odd time Leo says ok hold on lets catch the rest after the break or papa informs them that they need to keep it at a quick pace where you just cut them off and hang up! Yah I understand you have breaks but do it with a certain style that you don't seem like such a dick. Also hah I highly doubt you spend 900 dollars a month on marketing that's a load of bull shit and we all know it :) But if you do like rants I have a great podcast for you! Seeming that Sean Kennedy is taking a break I have someone who is frankly... A little better his names Dan Carlin and he does the most amazing rants that I have ever hear also check out his hardcore history those too are great :) And another thing I would like to thank Dailynoise for setting up that interview with Shydner & Schiff which "compiled" a book of stories from comics on the road sounds like a great book but then again it is comedian stories so they might not be entirely true, but it looks great you can get it here :) hah and the news keeps coming don't forget revision 3 is now up with all their... vidcasts so check that out. The new broken is out but.. It sucks ahah that's a shame because I liked the broken. Oh also twit.tv that's Leo laportes "netcast network" and he does about 12 podcasts a month so try and keep up :P including his security now which is great with Steve Gibson and his new show windows weekly with Paul Thurrott(SP?) As a reminder if you are still reading my blog posts on anorexicpillow.blogspot.com please rebookmark my blog to www.anorexicpillow.com where i have my huge gallery that is updated all the time and my blog. Anyways that's enough for today :) Im going to go get some laps in, bye!

What A Weekend It Was!

First I'll talk about the lfs Indy Invitational and then I will talk a bit about the F1 race in china this weekend. Well... The invitational didn't go as well as we were hoping for :( We only ended up with 8 people one being the pace car which sucked ass... Matt I'm sure your a good guy you seemed nice after the race but what the fuck were u doing? First flaw was when you didn't pull off into the pits while you were leading us threw the rolling start and second was... You didn't do anything as a Marshall you are supposed to call everything, not that there was much to call but for those few times Knight was the one that had to call the flags. The other thing that really fucking sucked was that knight kindly fucked me out of the race on lap 5! Yah I guess it had to be done lap 5 of 40 four wide and well lol he took me out here is the youtube video so you can see for yourselves Knight Screwed Me Over :P So for me the race was the first 4 laps which I lead for the most part and the last 36 laps was me trying to catch up from 12 seconds behind. Other then that I believe Dan ran out of gas and took the guy in front of me out :) And Turn 2 of last lap people spun but nothing critical. So that's what happened with the LFS Indy Invitational and the broadcast should be out next week. Okay so now for F1.... Wow that was close to as exciting as the Hungarian GP. It rained so it left all the Bridgestone drivers behind, their highest position on the grid was 6th which was M. Shumacher imagine that :P So the race was nothing but action so I suggest you to download the torrent asap because I sure will be and... well I suck at capturing the excitment of the race. But at one point alonso had a 20 second lead and out of no where he lost most of that lead and Renault feed us a load of bullshit saying that he was just setting the pace. Kubica was the first to put on the wets and hah that was... Interesting he spun out and got off track a few times and then pitted and switch back to inters. I found it funny how David Hobbs said "So kubica took the slicks and you see what happened to him so I'm guessing all the other teams are crossing that off of their to do list" Haha he is a great commentator and he's on windtunnel tonight so that shall be fun:) Other then that you really have to watch it but lots of action with Honda and on the last lap rubens hit Heidfeld and spun him out which was great because that assured button for the lead of that pack :) hahah anyways I gotta go Mitch Hedbergs special on comedy central is on and dont forget if you are reading this on anorexicpillow.blogspot.com please just rebookmark.... my blog and gallery is located at www.anorexicpillow.com, bye for now :)
