Getting Further Into It

Well... I haven't been posting to my blog lately... And for that I am sad :( But I have been playing around with Fireworks more and more and feel like im getting better. I got an area on LFSindy.com which I will be posting all my screenshots to which is here! Other then that it's just another short blog post which is disappointing but I would rather get straight to the point then pussy footing around the topic going on about when I was a child road tripping across the country with my brother and dog in the old station wagon, which has very little relevance to my screenshots. Btw I hate that, all that journalism bullshit where it ends up taking 2 fucking paragraphs into the article untill you actually hear about what they are talking about. No need for nostalgia here, no no here at the critically aclaimed anorexicpillow.blogspot.com we shoot from the hip! Anyways thats about it, have a good day. Bye!

It's Been A While...

It has been a week since my last blog post :O It felt odd going from once a day no matter how eventful the day was to when ever i get to it. I am yet to find out what brought my writing to a Hault but I hope everything will roll along smoothly from now on. So what happened while I was 'gone'? Oh I'll tell you! First off we have The Brits, they have now banned all "Self-balancing Scooters" from driving on their sidewalks. Next we have Windows Vista set for launch in January which is exciting for the most part but don't give your hopes up to see it in January, or atleast this January ;) Other then that Casio announcing thier new GPR-100 which is titled as the smallest GPS-enabled watch, But at $514 so it should be. The LFS Indy website has been launched although its not completly done feel free to...look at the Landing Page. Here is a site that is fun to look at:P enjoy. Bye!

Armadillo Run

Well good afternoon. I've been waking up late this week which sucks because... well it just does. But today we have some content! Thats right, finally something to say on this blog. I have said things here before that are worth reading but not the past week, I don't know what happened the posts just kept getting shorter and shorter. I still haven't recieved my Indy Racing T-Shirt which is disappointing but I have emailed the guy and if I don't get it in a few days he will be tracking it down threw his post office. Yesterday night I bought Armadillo Run which is a fun little game that is somewhat difficult to explain so I will copy and paste their description. Armadillo Run is a physics-based puzzle game. You have to build structures with the purpose of getting an armadillo to a certain point in space. There is a selection of building materials, each with different properties, which can be combined to form almost anything. The realistic physics simulation gives you the freedom to solve each level in many different ways. So there you have it an amazing game it is and only 20 bucks you can get it here. Anyways some rumors floating around about DaimlerChrysler buying the remaining stocks (60%) of Mclaren so if that deal goes threw things will be taking a turn for the Mclaren F1 team. That is all for today, Bye!

8.15.2006

Good News

Well Pearl recently told me that the space channel will be carrying The 4400 starting this fall! This is very good news, I just wonder where they will pick up. Will they start from season 1 episode 1 or will they be on season 3? Either way I am happy, I'm going to miss being able to pause it and such but watching the episodes as they come out is going to be great. Other then that I don't really have much happening at the moment. I made another slideshow but this time its a collection of screenshots of the Live For Speed Indy Racing League, the site is still underconstruction but will be up soon. Watch the slide show here! Other that I have to listen to the Daily Noise podcast because I slept in today but once thats finished listening to that I'm off to do some racing. For todays daily checks we have Classical Drive, enjoy. Bye!

SlingBox

Well I downloaded season 3 of the 4400 and I got to tell you it's amazing! I didn't get all of the episodes because not all of them have been aired yet but I do have a solution! I'm installing it at the moment, it is SlingBox!!! It is pretty much a box that allows you to watch someone elses tv from your own home. Now the reason why I must go to such great lengths to watch this show.... It is amazing, lol I dont know what else i can tell u with out ruining it. It's suprise after suprise and keeps getting better. But it is on the USA network and this is a network I do not have here in Canada. This SlingBox idea sounds great but it still may not work because I have not paid for it and I do not have an actual SlingBox I downloaded the softaware and it should work fine. But as far as I know it is my only chance to watch The 4400 when its realeased. Downloading it is great because I can pause it but its not available for download untill... a month later or so and I can't wait that long. So yes those are my plans and hope I get the slingbox up and running. This also maybe my chance to catch up on Deadwood and shit. I am currently asking around trying to find another user, so if you have SlingBox you can contact me at anorexicpillow@hotmail.com. For todays Daily Check we have AutoSpies. That is all, Bye!

And A Race It Was

That was a great race! Before the race, in practice Danica Patrick and Vitor Meira collided while entering the pits. They both got their cars fixed before the race and even though changing engines they held their possitions on the grid. Some problems on pit lane, its a very bumpy pit entrance and exit at kentucky speedway and a few people had trouble with that. First we had Ed Carpenter spin out on pit exit and then we had Marco Andretti was too high on pit entrance and drove into the grass and Scott Sharp spun out at the same place Marco had his problem. Only one crash during the race and that was Kosuke Matsuura which lost the tail end while running high in turn 3 and ended up damaging the soft wall, which then took 15 laps under full course caution to fix. So in the end it was a great race with Hornish in first, Dixon in second, and Castroneves in 3rd. Danica Patrick broke the top 10 and finished in 8th. While Sarah Fisher didn't have too good of a race with 12th... just not her day. Marco too had a shitty day finishing in 17th with only 2 laps led, disappointing race for him today. This was quite the race, and hope that its online soon so Sir Yannick can see it from a point of view other then bullet cam. For todays Daily Check we have the almighty PistonHeads:) Enjoy, Bye!

8.12.2006

Let's Call It A Race

Alright so today Sir Yannick told me that qualifying was on the net live. Ofcourse he is french so he decide to tell me after the qualifying was over. So I didn't get to see the qualifying but pole is Castroneves, Hornish, and Wheldon. Which isn't much of a suprise but lets find marco....oh there he is 18th also known as second last. what the fuck happened there marco? atleast his team mate isn't too far ahead of him. This race will be a fun one because Sarah Fisher will be starting right behind Danica Patrick:) Anyways for todays Daily Check we have Trollhattan Saab which is a car blog all about Saabs :D Check that out and hopfully I'll have more to talk about tommorow, Bye!

8.11.2006

It Is Friday

I found something interesting today, it's called Goggles and its a flight sim using google earth. It gets boring after a while but it is fun at first. Here is the link! Nothing all that much to say today, today Candace McKenzie was on Daily Noise as an in studio guest all show. Which was fun and all but... she says hello alot "like hello" sorta thing and at the hour and a half mark it started getting annoying. Other then that she seems rather nice. So todays Daily Check is Car Scoop which is on blogspot! And for that I am excited because I am loving the blog spot and would like everyone I know to have one :) It just makes things easier, and from what I've seen Blogspot is the best looking out of the box. Anyways sadly thats all I have to say today Bye!

8.10.2006

Finally Done!

Hello...Nothing is really happening today. Last night Sir Yannick disappeared on me and came back 1:30am telling me that he fell asleep:S While he was gone I finally finished the introductory screen shots for the website, but once Sir Yannick got back from his nap he told me that he only need 50 of the 155 screenshots. So I picked my favorites which equaled 41, other then that Sir Yannick is getting more renders done but is still kinda...learning. He's not online now so I can't hear his which screenshots are his favorites:( But Linnea is on so thats good :D For news today we have Road Rash may be coming back, if you don't know what road rash is then I will tell you. Road rash was an amazingly simple game which i loved dearly, from what I remember it went like this...You pick either a sport bike or a cruiser and then you pick a weapon which is like a... chain, crowbar and thats all i remember:P Then you pretty much drive on this one big highway hitting other bikers off their bikes and the odd time the police would chase you. The funniest thing is that about 3 days ago I was thinking about Road Rash and today in the news there it is. Anyways in other news we have NASCAR being sued for racial discrimination.... Who would have thought? It's only nascar, u know the one that doesn't even want engines from anyone but from one of the big three here is the link! Anyways it's time for Daily Noise so todays Daily Check is Jalopnik I don't know much about it but I check it daily, and one of the writers from there also writes for The Truth About Cars. Bye!

Still A Great Magazine

Good Morning! And what a good morning it is. Sir Yannick welcomed me with the great news that shinny floors and multiple cars/skins is working now for his renders. Meaning... well I guess new wallpapers and beautiful pictures, other then that they have no purpose. And now we shall mention Racer Magazine, you may recall I talked about it in an earlier post titled Racer Magazine. I mentioned how it had some old news, but I thought that was just that month... Well yesterday it came in the mail keep in mind this is septembers issue, in septembers issue they mention Audi at 24 hours of Le Mans which was about 2 months ago. Some other old news we have in Racer this month is that Borris Said joined the no fear/sobe team as their main driver which happened atleast a month and a half ago. Also mentioned in Septembers issue of Racer Magazine is that Scott Speed getting fucked out of the US GP which was 4 races ago. And one of my favorites is "Cristiano Da Matta lands in a top ten team again and expects top results" that I can understand because he hit the dear only 4 or 5 days ago. But seriously guys? whats going on... as I mentioned before its fine for a little off date things because of the publishing time but if your mailing me the september issue on the 8th of August make sure it is worthy of being passed off as a september issue. I would rather wait the month and recieve a magazine on the 1st with current news in it. This may just be a magazine for the person that doesn't actually watch racing and wouldn't know the difference from the old and the new news. For todays Daily Check we have The Car Blog nice looking site and some decent news. Anyways time for daily noise Bye!

Lump Sum O' Text

Well, my magazines came today! Which is great because now they come to my door step and have my name on them. But it kinda hit me hard when i realized that 438 pages will be landing on my door step month after month. So I have decided the order of reading them will be Racer, Road & Track, and then Car and Driver. There was a good editorial over on The Truth About Cars today about ads in magazines and how it effects the review of the car and how their reviews are starting to sound more like an advertisement for the car. This all has to do with TTAC switching their site from a nice clean hobby into a professional enterprise filled with ads. I like their website but as many people said they wouldnt pay for it. Which may seem harsh but seriously... I only find one or two of their articles a month as a good read. In other news Sir Yannick is still working on his rendering, it seems that he cant take a group photo or change backgrounds. But! He did find out how to make the floor shiny so my hat goes off to him for that! Along with that Sir Yannick set me up with some nice pirate software for my beautiful screen shots that will be used for the web site. Oh and I have something that pissed me off today, Jamie Fox thinks that P. Diddy would play a better bond than a white man....Okay What the fuck?!? He said white men aren't modern and have to give the bond series a bump up so its more modern why can't they make their own characters? They have to turn a white character that has been running close to 40 years now into a black man to make it more modern. Why dont we just let Clay Aiken play as Shaft? Because obviously all the lasers and computer shit in James Bond just isn't modern enough, the only way to make it cool is to add a black man. As for todays Daily Check we have Joystiq which is a blog all about video games updated around the clock, alot like engadget but about video games:P That is all for today, Daily Noise is just about on so thats all for now. Bye!

Todays Race Is Sponsored By The Letter G

Good morning! Im excited about today seeming that its the 219th day of the year, people usually dont work today and that means that I can have my curtains and balcony open because no one is working on the place today! Along with that Daily Noise is on today, and Sir Yannick although hasnt got his blog fixed was able to figure out how to render cars in Live For Speed. Nothing really planned today other then some gt cars racing at Brimingham, which is good because the last GT race I watched was at De Trois-Rivieres and well.... frankly the race sucked but thats another story:P Sadly today is red neck day for the Speed channel, we have some NASCAR, some demolishion derby, Craftsman Truck Series(Nascar with trucks), Drag racing and we end the day with some monster trucks. The other good thing about today is that You Tube Top Gear comes out today and im ever so anxious about that! On a sad point Sir Yannicks idol Jacques Villeneuve was fired today by the BMW Sauber team, ever since Sir Yannick found out Jacques was french he has been a fan boy. And lets just hope someone signs Jacques Villeneuve for next year other wise Sir Yannick would prolly stop watching F1. For todays Daily Check is Gizmodo which isn't updated as much as engadget but it is a good read:) Bye!

A Little Change Never Hurts

Now that was a race! Let's see the podium here...in first we have Jensen Button this is his first win in 112 races :O and in second place we have Pedro De La Rosa, and finally Nick Heidfeld. Wait a minute... wheres Shumacher and Alonso? Well, Shumacher started in 11th and was in 4th by the end of the first lap but when he was fighting for 2nd position with 3 laps to go when he cut the chicane and had problems with the front end. M. Schumacher finished in 9th three laps down. And Alonso was doing very well too untill he left the pits and his drive shaft failed, slamming him back first into a tire barrier taking him out of the race with only 18 laps to go. But in total 8 cars retired that race, but none the less an amazing race. Not only did Schumacer and Alonso have to fight their way threw the pack they had to do it on a constantly wet track. Definanlty a race to go down in the books as an amazing one. It was great to see some new faces up on the podium. I must say my hat goes off to the chap that picked Button to take the win and Massa to have the fastest time. Who ever guessed that deserves the engine.... Anyways I'm going to go get some racing in, so for todays Daily Check we have Motorsport.com. A new one to my list but pretty good:) anyways thats all for now, Bye!

I Think They Named Oranges Before Carrots

Well good morning, it's just about time for qualifying! So what could be happening at 4:30 in the morning? Oh I will tell you, Sarah Fisher is returning to the IRL! What does this mean.... this means there will be two women in the IRL. And no she doesn't start next season or some bull shit she starts next weekend for The Meijer 300. I hope she does well... so well that it drives danica out of the sport because what's the point when your not getting all the publicity?!? Also an update on Cristiano De Matta, a CT scan showed that he had a subdural hematoma, and emergency surgery was performed to remove it. So that is that! Another small peice of news is that Sir Yannick has decided to open up a blog! Such a great day so far, anyways it's like 4:53 now so I got to go watch qualifying.. And I'm back, good session but some bad news... M. Shumacher was penalized +2 seconds on his final time for passing during a red flag in practice, which was caused by buttons engine blowing up. Fernado Alonso also got penalized +2 seconds for brake checking Robert Doornbos. This race should be great with both Alonso and Schumacher fighting to get up the pack. Now Champcar is on and I have to tell you, this is some eventful racing. We are 3 laps in and we have had 2 full courses cautions already :O Some good racing, even if you dont like racing its good to watch for the collisions :P Anyways this is a full post of the day and will only be edited if more news comes up, so todays Daily Check is Digital Displacement! I heard of this blog threw RSC and check it daily for all my racing game news :) Thats all I have for you so far, Bye!

Still Amazed

Well I gotta tell ya' each day I race oval I start to love it more and more... Me and Sir Yannick were going to go race a bit and invited Dan like usually. Well soon enough the server had 12 people, racing within inches of eachother for 15 laps, which soon got cut down to 10 because most of them were newbs. But this just opened my eyes as to how much fun the IRL will be, if it is that much fun with 12 newbs I can just imagine what it will be like with 21 pros. Anyways, only 10 hours left till F1 and because this isn't a full post of the day there won't be any daily checks, check back tomorrow:) Bye!

Ahh Yes, The French!

Well, once again it is time for an amazing blog post! F1 is tonight(tomorow morning) so that will be fun, and hope I win the scale engine from pit pass. In other news Sir Yannick is having a nervous breakdown about the IRL thing...He believes that although god has equipt him with such raw skill he has failed to appoint him to a well paying job... So Sir Yannick is worried about how the IRL will be paying for the server and such. Some how in this mix of blood, sweat and tears I was elected to break the news to sponsors that we need a cash advance on for the project to get it going. But first we need a demo to send them of some action and what this irl will look like but Sir Yannicks video lags for some reason and im just bad at it, so I'm not sure how we are going to do that. We(I) have to contact google ads and Ian from Free Talk Radio to talk about their sponsors, they auction off their sponsor spots or something like that. Other then that we are still searching for members so if you are interested please contact me. Another thing is that Sir Yannick thinks that Alfa Romeos have ugly grilles :O Which is madness because Alfa Romeos are one of the sexiest cars of all time but then again he is french...so he can stick with his Peugeots, Citroens, Renault and all the other fantastic cars the french produce. Lol, this just in Cristiano da Matta hit a dear while open testing at Road America in turn six:O He is recovering from a serious head injury... So anyways for todays Daily Check we have Autoblog, It has only been in the list of daily checks for about 4 months now and I actually found it threw a french auto blog i used to read :P anyways check it out. Other then that there hasnt been a whole lot happening so Bye!

Sim Racing Magazines

Alright I still don't understand why I post these so early in the morning when nothing is happening. But this morning something has come up! And that is Autosimsport, it's a monthly online magazine (Ezine) all about the Sim racing world. It was the first of its kinda but then only one month ago another ezine was created about the sim racing world called Virtual Motorsports. Now personally I like Virtual Motorsports better because it just seems to flow better I hate how Autosimsport has ads for ads and it would be different if it was once but it's more then once month after month. But Autosimsport is 100 pages this month, which is great cause thats all I need, more to read. Especially shit I've heard and talked about months ago in forums and irc channels. But it's a great read if your into sim racing and simple out of touch with the current events:P But it is thursday so that means we have Daily Noise on with rog reviews, which isn't a whole lot entertaining cause I'm not a huge fan or porn. And I believe the makers of Liquid Ass. But not only that, we have another race this weekend in f1 so that means yet another weekend of waking up at 4 O'Clock in the morning. But I'm excited about this one:P hopfully you got your predictions in for the chance to win the 1:8 model engine over at pitpass. Also the frenchy is out of the race and maybe for a few more, so their test driver Kubica will be racing for him untill he is better, which I feel sad about because who is Sir Yannick going to cheer for now. Oh but I must put a Daily Check, so today is The Truth About Cars, they are one of the more professional blogs. A great read for anyone that wants to know a tad more about cars and their parent companies and they also do a good podcast including The Vagina Dialogues, GM Death Watch, editorials to reviews this place is great seeming that you can now listen to them on the site. One thing i dont like though is that he took off all of the podcasts on itunes because there recently was a scare of it becoming a pay site but they got a huge thumbs down by all the readers so they plan on getting ads in there some how. Which I'm fine with and all aslong as it doesnt sway the verdict of the car review. Well it is almost time for Daily Noise so I'll go get some racing in before it starts :) Bye!

Amalgam Contest Over At Pit Pass

Well I was sitting here thinking of what to post to my blog today and was amazed with the lack of material I have so I have decided to share with all of you a daily check of mine... daily. It wont be the sole purpose of the post but I will talk a little about it along with what ever I have to say for the day. So it is only 10 am but I have no ground breaking news yet! In the mean time for todays Daily Check we have Engadget which is actually the first one on my list. I have been reading Engadget practically since got this computer and Engadget is updated almost all hours of the day. So check out Engadget if you like...gadgets :P (10 minutes later) Well I found something, there is a contest on Pitpass which is one of my daily checks so I guess you get two today. And the contest is to win a 1/8th scale of a model Ferrari F1-2000 (an F1 Engine) from the one and only Amalgam!!! Those of you who aren't nearly as excited as me probably haven't seen thier work as seen here. And even if you don't want the engine you can still fill it out and just mail it to me if you win :P Also, today was one of the better episodes of Daily Noise so if you don't mind a little edgy radio for the listening todays show was pretty damn good. So other then that not a whole lot happening... so untill next time Bye!

F1 Suspended

This isn't the first time I've seen this, but it is the first time I've seen so many Hi-Res pictures of this and I gotta tell you it is pretty amazing. I know I may use the word "amazing" a little too much but this truly is amazing. I would love to see this in person as would anyone interested into cars or racing. Um... If u couldnt guess what the hell is happening to that honda is it is suspended by wires and is a 3D 'exploded diagram' of how the F1 car is pieced together. Definitely worth a look....as seen here :P. In other...things :S Sir Ch0i told me about this Internet radio show called Free Talk Live and it's a very entertaining show which is all about politics and liberty which... I'm not really into that but I'm listening to the podcasts daily, seeming that there is no News Real atm I need some source of news. Other then that not a whole lot has been happening, been racing more often then I had been this past month, I tell yah racing around that oval in the fox switching from 1st to 2nd in every turn is such a thrill and a laugh. I can't wait untill we have 23 of us are running around on that oval. I truly think if the word gets out about this LFS Indy League properly it will be huge, and have people lining up to get in. I think as soon as the site goes up we will be talking to the owner of Race Sim Central to see if we can get a category on the forum and that should get some peoples attention, most likely talk to the LFS Forums aswell. Anyways it's early in the day so I may find more to talk about during the day. So until the next out burst of news or stupid shit Bye!
